Computer programming for Newbies

"Where do i start?" is a common question we get asked by those who are keen to start computer programming but are scared that its hard or even impossible to learn. Those who finally take the leap of faith and begin continue to ask the same question.
Frankly there is no standard answer to this question. In our experience if you are thinking of starting computer programming these are the things you will require that will make it easier for you to continue wanting to learn.
- Passion and patience - You must want it so bad that not getting some of the stuff first time wont matter because you love programming so much that you wont give up no matter what. You know one day you will get it and you never stop learning.
- Time - its not enough to have time. You need time to practise everyday
- Tenacity - ability to stay the course even when you get frustrated
In our experience the deep dive is the best teacher if you are sticking to the above! Knowing a bit of html and css or other programming concepts helps greatly but never be fooled. You still need passion, patience, time and tenacity.
What is programming anyway.
In a classroom environment you learn faster and where you dont get the concept you get to ask a real teacher. Thats why at Tech Hub we are offering java coding lessons. Learning on your own is possible but there is so much to choose from. You need someone who has gone through it to guide on the best approach and learning materials.
