The Fear of breaking things
Posted on Jun 15, 2018 by Administrator
When i was growing up i was very inquisitive up to the point of breaking my father's cassette radio and black and white TV. We didnt have computers then! Lol how things have changed. These days when i speak to anyone who is thinking of starting computer programming they ask me "Is it not hard, will i not break my computer or corrupt my operating system?" I always tell them these days you are lucky because there are so many ways to experiment and not face the costs we used to face during the time we started to experiment with techy stuff.
These days you can run many operating systems on top of other systems. You can download VirtualBox for example and experiment with other operating systems sharing your computer resources with the virtual system and so on. You can download ready made systems and test them or learn how to code on them. The possibilities are endless.
Take for example this project which lets you run download for free ready made systems or appliances and development environments. For those who want to learn there are basically no barriers to learning anymore and there are no execuses either! You just need to join the right crew to be able to learn and do it fast.
At Tech Hub we have some exciting stuff going on and we are offering an opportunity to cut your learning time! Drop by every Saturday and see what we are up to or join our coworking space at here
